Our after school creative classes offer a safe, encouraging space for nurturing artistic confidence and freedom. We use and experiment with a wide range of art mediums.

Art can help install pride and self - confidence, build perseverance, develop critical thinking, problem solving skills, teamwork and communication. Art helps wth cognitive development, hand eye coordination, spatial recognition and help children and teenagers find their voice and express themselves.

We introduce your children to painting, spray painting, stencilling, drawing, sculpting and more. The classes are largely experimental and focus on enjoying the art making process and making new friends. We feel that this helps to build confidence in children in multiple ways.

From $25 per class

Your pre teen or teenager can join these classes no matter what their artistic skill level is. They look at modern and traditional artist models and create work over a few weeks. They will be introduced to a wide range of mediums and techniques. This is also a great opportunity to build confidence and make friends. Many of our teenagers refer to these classes as their weekly therapy sessions as Georgia offers mentor - like conversation, friendship and guidance.

NCEA Art homework help class. This class has been created for students who are currently doing NCEA Art homework. We can help with Design (Visual Communication) and painting. We have Adobe Creative Cloud and two computers available to use for this class but is handy to bring along your own laptop. This class is $10 add on for current enrolled students or $25 per class. you must sign up for a minimum of 5 weeks to secure a space.

$30 per session - This class is for students aged 13 - 17.

We cater sessions to suit interests and skill level of individual students. We introduce them to Artist models that they can relate to and help them create pieces of art that they actually enjoy creating. Teenagers will come up with an idea and we coach them through the best way to achieve their ideas by introducing them to mixed media and a wide range of different art mediums. Our tutors often become your teenager’s safe person to talk to away from home and the art process ends up being a “Segway” to opening up about their lives. These classes are great for building confidence and making new friends or coming along with a group of friends. You must sign up for a 10 week term to secure a spot. You do not need to be “good” at art or do high school art to fit into these classes. Classes fill out quickly.

$25 per lesson | 2hr class for children aged 10 - 12

in our Tauhou classes we have a theme per term - for example “street art”, “printmaking” or “form” we then introduce the students to different mediums within each theme. The students will work toward an end of term project that utilises the techniques they have learned throughout the term.

$22.50 per class | 1.5 hr class for 10-13 year olds.

In our Kahu classes we have a theme per term - for example “street art”, “printmaking” or “form” we then introduce the students to different mediums within each theme. The students will work toward an end of term project that utilises the techniques they have learned throughout the term.

$25 per lesson | 2hr class for teenagers aged 13 - 15

This class is best for kids with well developed art making skills or a high confidence with their drawing skills. In our Kuaka class we have a theme per term - for example “street art”, “printmaking” or “form” we then introduce the students to different mediums within each theme. The students will work toward an end of term project that utilises the techniques they have learned throughout the term. This class is less structured and allows for maximum creative freedom.

$21 per lesson | 1hr class for children aged 5-9

in our Kereru classes we introduce students to small projects that take a couple of weeks to finish. These classes are largely experimental and mixed media classes.
